"Judaising"
Dear Friends,
It has been several months since you last heard from us. Your letters of encouragement and support have meant so much - THANKS!
In February of this year we attended the National Religious Broadcasters Convention (NRB) in Dallas, TX. For three days we made new contacts and renewed acquaintances from NRB last year in Anaheim, CA. We were offered an open door to reach the 10/40 window with ready made television programs. Aliyat Simcha has the kind of programs they need and have requested. All of our programs produced here in El Paso are not production quality according to Cornerstone Television in Wall, PA and other television conglomerates these programs were submitted.
Therefore, we need our own studio or the money to produce quality programming that will be accepted by the networks. Prayer is needed!
During the month of April, Gina and I were in Canada and New York City. The Lord opened doors and blessed in many ways.
First, we were in Red Deer, Alberta where we held a large Passover Seder at the invitation of Vergil Schmidt. Hundreds came from Edmonton, Calgary, Red Water and surrounding areas.
We were privileged to speak at several fellowships and to address the Red Deer Ministerial. Sunday morning brought 800 people. Our son George flew us to Eastern Canada where we spent time with my (Mike's) brother John and his family. We were able to visit with old friends and to share faith all around. Then on to New York City to be "just tourists."
Our Passover Seder from Red Deer will be offered on our web site as soon as we receive it from Canada. It will be a good outline for any who want to learn, or even to hold a believers understanding of the "Last Supper," the Lord's Table or communion. We'll let you know as soon as we obtain it.
Now, we're back in El Paso, and it's time to open our teaching center and to make strides toward our vision. Enclosed is the announcement that was sent to newspapers, radio and television stations to place on their community calendars. Plan to attend if you're in the vicinity! Thursday, July 5th at 7:00 p.m. - 504 East Yandell at Campbell. We look forward to meeting with you.
We are looking into a radio program with KELP. Cost is $140 per half hour. Would you like to sponsor one half hour? Or more? Enclosed is a self addressed envelope if you feel led in any way to help further the gospel. KELP has also offered to air 60 second spots pertaining to the Jewishness of the Gospel - free of charge! Please pray these spots with be productive in helping listeners with a better understanding of their faith.
El Paso now has a Biblical Cultural Heritage Center!
The new Biblical Cultural Heritage Center opens Thursday, July 5th at 7:00 p.m., located at 504 E. Yandell (at Campbell).
This museum-like center contains a large model of the Mishkan - Tabernacle of Moses - complete with the altar of sacrifice, incense altar, Holy of Holies and the Ark of the Covenant; two life sized, fully garbed Biblical priests models plus models of various aspects of Biblical worship.
We can show how the Tabernacle/Temple system of atonement and anointing were performed, etc. Various implements are on display.
Lectures by Dr. Mike Moshe Nangle are offered for a variety of topics. Both Old and New Testaments are central topics. Courses are available based on your groups interest.
Hebrew language classes are available starting Tuesday, August 7th at 6:00 p.m. for beginners and 7:00 p.m. for advanced. A nominal fee will be charged.
All churches, synagogues and organizations are invited to participate. Doctrinal distinctives are not our priority. We recognize and respect all traditions.
For more information please call 915.921.0077 or write Aliyat Simcha Seminars, P.O. Box 221890, El Paso, TX 79913.
"Judaising"
Many ask why we're not involved in the "Judaising" of Christians or why we aren't pursuing involvement with that movement. The "Great Commission" of the Messiah (see Mat 4:23; 15:9 and especially Mat 28:10-20) "Go therefore and teach ALL nations baptizing (immersing Heb ìmikveh tevillah) in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Vs 20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even until the end of the world, (Olam Haba), Amen." - (Moral - not legalistic "observing.")
As a Jewish teacher, Messiah and His disciples kept the Jewish traditions. This is still culturally right for Jewish believers. He had come as promised to the "lost sheet of Israel" as a shepherd Messiah (see Jer 50:6) now fulfilled in Mat 10:6; 15:24 esp; 18:11. This was also described in Rom 1:16; 2:9-10. To the Jew first, and then the nations.
Now, after the resurrection, He commands us to go to every nation. Mk 16:9-15; etc. There is no need to be confused! See John 1:16; Rom 4:15-16; esp Rom 6:14; Gal 2:21; 5:4.
To conclude: Col 2:20 - 22: "Wherefore if you be dead with Messiah from the rudiments of the world, why as though (you are) living in the world, are you subject to ordinances. Touch not, taste not, handle not, which are to perish with the using after the commandments and doctrines of (humans) man? See why in verse 23.
Our commission is not to confuse people with FORMS AND LEGALISMS. Jn 8:31-32, FREE, not set in bondage; Rom 8:15-16; Gal 2:4 & 9 esp, 5:1. Let's obey God's word - not the personal agendas of legalistics.
Check the scriptures and see if this is so - Acts 17:11.
Till next time, grace to you - Rom 1:7; I Cor 1:3; 16:23; II Cor 1:2. Shalom!
In Messiah's Service,
Dr. Mike Moshe and Gina Nangle
