Itching Ears – Sound Doctrine - Economy!

Dear Supporters of Aliyat Simcha Seminars,

We’re late again, but we are still here! Thank you for your prayers. A big "Thank you!" to those who sent "help," each cheque actually came "just when needed most." Our God really does speak to His people and many are obedient. Your faithfulness touches our hearts deeply. "Todah Rabbah" (Hebrew for "Thank you very much!")

We have begun production on our TV programs with KSCE Channel 38 in El Paso. We are also projecting to present a series of one minute "spots" that will be made available to any station as "fill-ins." We are endeavoring to prepare several TV teaching programs as well as getting ready for several speaking engagements. We are hoping to include video tapes, cassettes and booklet with teaching outlines. Several individuals have e-mailed us requesting "sound doctrine" emphasis to combat the confusion being propagated in these last days. Since many are realizing the dangers of unsound doctrine, we feel duty bound to the Body of Christ to respond – see Jude 3. Please pray for us regarding this daily. Col 1:8; II Thes 1:11; I Thes 5:17-18.

We’ve included a copy of the teaching in our February 2000 and June/July 1999 newsletters.

In His Name,
Dr. Mike Moshe and Gina Nangle

Typology & The Tabernacle: Reasons For Such A Study

We believe that the concept of study of the Tabernacle will give many people a sound foundation, thereby helping to bring sound doctrine, which is very important in these challenging times. II Tim 4:2-5; Gen 49:1; Isa 2:2-3; Micah 4:1-2; Acts 2:17-21; II Tim 3:1-7; Heb 1:2; II Peter 3:3.

The Tabernacle is actually the only source mentioned in scripture, in both Old and New Testaments, as a sure foundation for typology. Ex 25:8-9, 40; Num 8:4; Josh 22:28; I Chron 28:11. References to Tabernacle: Heb 8:5-10; 10:1-2. Notice that although God gave the plan for the (first) Temple of Solomon, it is NOT described as typological – but IS a reflection of PERMANENCE.

The Second Temple (Herodian) was originally begun by Zerubabbel along with Ezra and Nehemiah. Herod later completed the beautiful edifice, but unfortunately his motives were political. See Books - Ezra 1:2 etc. and Nehemiah 2:17 etc.

Ezekiel describes a third Temple. Ezekiel Chapters 40 - 44. This is potentially the one called "The Tribulation Temple." Apparently a terrible manifestation will occur at that time. Matt 24:15-24; Jn 17:12; II Thes 2:3-4.

So, we need to be in keeping with God’s precious Holy Scripture, in order to "endure sound doctrine." The Book of Hebrews was given for this express purpose.

Let’s keep a balance = sound doctrine.

"Itching Ears" - Economy

What is "taught" or propagated in any area is (spiritually) of great concern. If people are willing to compromise the truth and have "itching ears" –

I Tim 4:3-4 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lust shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears for the truth, and shall be turned into fables."

The scripture indicates that your whole culture will be affected.

Ps 67:1-6 "God be merciful unto us and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy; for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us."

Revival cannot come and your local economy will suffer.

Ps 103: Read complete chapter taking note of verses 18 and 19 – "To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. The Lord has prepared his throne in the heavens and his kingdom rules over all."

II Chr 7 14-15 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place."

Sound Doctrine

Your decisions to either deal honestly, especially as a Body of Believers, or to compromise and encourage unsound doctrine, will determine the whole well-being of your community.

I Tim 1:5-9(a) "Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: from which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling (empty/meaningless words); Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. But we know that the law is good, if a man uses it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient …"

II Tim 4:2-3 "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap unto themselves teachers, having itching ears;"

It’s up to you as a Body of Believers whether blessing or "other" will come.

Ps 58:3-4 "The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear."

Prov 38:10-14 "Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession. The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out. When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden. He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief."

Jer 50:6(a) "My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray…"

II Peter 2:12-22 "But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; and shall receive the reward of unrighteousness as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls; a heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; But was rebuked for his iniquity; the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbade the madness of the prophet. These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to who the mist of darkness is reserved forever. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who lived in error. While they promised them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of who a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire."

From The Heart

Sometimes it is necessary to speak out from the heart. In this case, it seems to be even a "prophetic" word..

II Peter 1:19-21 "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto alight that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in you hearts; Knowing this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of old spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit."
